Donna Spruijt-Metz is the author of General Release from the Beginning of the World (2023, Palette Press) and the chapbooks Slippery Surfaces (Finishing Line Press, 2019), And Haunt the World with Flower Conroy (Ghost City Press, 2021) and Dear Ghost (Harbor Review, 2023), winner of the 2023 Harbor Review Editor's Prize. In 2023, Poets & Writers Magazine featured her as one of "50 over 50 debut authors." Her poems appear in The Academy of American Poets, Tahoma Literary Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. She is currently a reader for Psaltery & Lyre magazine and co-stewards the national Poetry Grind at Poets & Writers. She is an emeritus USC psychology professor, MacDowell fellow, rabbinical school drop-out, and former classical flutist.
