bridgette bianca is the author of "be/trouble" (Writ Large Press, 2020). As a writer and educator, her stated mission is to "serve the people and moments most forget or ignore." Along with performing her poetry widely in Southern California and guest-hosting literary events across Los Angeles, she produces two popular instagram series: "Young, Black, and Tenure-Track," where she documents her experiences as a professor, and "We Be Readin! Wednesdays," where she entertainingly indulges her obsession with romance novels. She is one-half of the literary curating teams: "Making Room for Black Women," with Sanura Williams; and "South Central Spits Fire," with GusTavo Guerra Vasquez. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Howard University and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Otis College of Art & Design.
