Isabella Santana's debut collection, Abuela Lore (Somos en escrito Literary Foundation, 2024), reflects on the lives of her grandmothers. The daughter of Ecuadorian and Guatemalan immigrants, Santana is part of the new generation of Latine authors that is amplifying Latine voices. Her work has appeared in three anthologies: Expressions (American Library of Poetry, 2021), Speaking Our Truths (MediaRites, 2023), and Somos Xicanas (Riot of Roses Publishing House, 2024). She received recognition from Urban Word as a Los Angeles Youth Poet Ambassador in 2022 and 2023. At Univision's 60th Anniversary Gala, she performed a poem she wrote for the occasion.
