Kim (Freilich) Dower is the author of six poetry collections, including What She Wants (2025), I Wore This Dress Today for You, Mom (2022), and Sunbathing on Tyrone Power's Grave (2019), all from Red Hen Press. The 2016-18 West Hollywood Poet Laureate, Kim's work has been featured in numerous journals including Plume, Ploughshares, Rattle, The James Dickey Review, and Garrison Keillor's The Writer's Almanac, and her poems are included in several anthologies, notably, Wide Awake: Poets of Los Angeles and Beyond. She teaches poetry workshops for Antioch University in LA, UCLA Extension Writer's Program, and the West Hollywood Library.
