Sarah Maclay is the author or six collections, most recently The H.D. Sequence - A Concordance (Walton Well Press, 2024) and Nightfall Marginalia (What Books Press, 2023). Her debut collection, "Whore" (U of Tampa Press, 2004) won the Tampa Review Prize for Poetry. Her poems and criticism have appeared in FIELD, Ploughshares, Blackbird, Manoa, The American Poetry Review, The Best American Erotic Poems, The Writer's Chronicle, Poetry Daily, and many other publications. She long served as Poetry International's book review editor. She received a 2016 City of Los Angeles (COLA) Fellowship, a Yaddo residency, and a Pushcart Special Mention. She earned a BA from Oberlin and an MFA in Writing at Vermont College of Fine Arts. She splits her time between her native Montana and California, where she teaches creative writing.
